John Hyer
Vocalist John Hyer received his scholarship in 1965, after graduating from Wilkes College. He became Executive Director of the Northeast Philharmonic and taught at Keystone Junior College. John spent 18 years as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and then as Executive Director of the Long Beach, California, Symphony Orchestra. He moved to Tampa, Florida to become Executive Director of the Florida Philharmonic. Currently, John teaches Humanities at St. Petersburg College and performs on occasion as a soloist at his church.
